What is expected of me as a Knight of Chaos?
The following section is divided up based on your role in the clan.
Members
Common Responsibilities
- Promoting KC in public games / groups
- Take advantage of voice chat
- Post on the forums
- Vote for the site
- Enter the channel at least once every 21 days (Battle.net Members)
S/KOC Squad Leaders
Squad leaders are responsible for organizing and motivating members to play game together, use voice chat, vote for the site and, participate on the forum. This is the entry level leadership position and a rank of at least KOC4 is required to be promoted to this job.
Officers
Common Responsibilities
- Answer questions about the use of Ventrilo and be able to help members configure the application
- Promote the site by voting daily on all four ladders.
- Daily forum usage
- Weekly recruitment quota equal to the second digit of their rank id. ex - 1.1.0 - 1 recruit, 1.2.0 - 2 recruits
- These recruitment quotas role upwards. That is to say that the recruits of subordinate officer count towards the command officers quota.
Line Officers
LO is a position and not a rank. If a member is promoted to a LO position they will be given a rank between Lieutenant Junior Grade and Captain. The LO preform mid level leadership positions and administer basic function of Chaos Net. All positions are head by a single individual. All LO server the guild at the pleasure of the active RC.
Group Commander (GC)
The GC is responsible for managing and maintaining a member count around 50. Functions include that of a small clan leader.
Staff Officers
SO is a position and not a rank. If a member is promoted to a SO position they will be given a minimum rank of Lt. Cmdr. The SO fulfill the leadership positions in a traditional guild as well as see to and administrate the more advanced functions of Chaos Net. All positions are held by a single individual. All SO serve the guild at the pleasure of the current L1-5 ranked members.
Wing Commander (WC)
The WC is responsible for managing all channel activities and functions as a traditional guild leader does in many other guilds
The responsibilities of the Wing Commander are as follows.
- Approve Officer promotions
- Adjudicate disputes between members
- Maintain channel security
- Maintain 150 member count average month to month
Realm Commander (RC)
The RC is responsible for coordinating all realm activities and functions as a traditional guild leader does in many other guilds.
The Responsibilities of the Realm Commander are as follows.
- Oversee the development of the guild
- Assign Wing Commander
- Manage and assign duties to realm officers
- Execute the standing orders given to the realm by the L1-5 ranked members
Bot Master (Battle.net Position)
The Bot is responsible for ensuring that bots are functioning properly in all guild channels, all recruitment deployments and, on instant messenger services.
- Understand how all common B.net bots operate
- Understand different connection methods including BNLS and local hashing
- Know how to configure all common B.net bots
- Notify the development team if there is a problem with the bot server or IM bot
- Understand how the Chaos Net client operates and be able to assist members with its use.
- Answer any questions about bot operation that members may have
Ladder Coordinator (Battle.net Position)
The LC is responsible for the proper operation of the ladder system
Duties include the following.
- Answer all questions about the ladder system asked by members.
- Investigate and reported errors with the ladder system. If a problem is found the LC reports it to the development team.
- Run official guild tournaments
- Helping members with account creation on the site or in Chaos Net.
