  • Guild FAQ - Battle.net

Q: Why is there no testing to join KC for Battle.net?
A1: If you were asked to join by a member: at least one member had fun playing with you and seems to think that you had fun playing also. KC is a social guild based primarily on Battle.net. As guild founder it is my goal to provide the services that enhance game play for the guilds members not to recruit self-centered video game “all stars.”
A2: If you were asked to join by the automated recruitment system: should you choose to join, your try out is very simple. Just answer one question a few days after joining. The question is “Are you having fun and did you meet new people you enjoy to game with?” Only you can decide if a guild is right for you.

Q: Why don’t you want to be “good”? Aren't social guilds just noob fests?
A: I (ghost) have personally been ranked top 50 in a world championship FPS tournament, I have been in the #3 raiding guild in the world in a MMO and have been one of the top RTS players on a large internet based tournament site. Many of the other Knights have also had professional or semi-professional gaming careers. More importantly, many of our members have highly successful professional and personal lives outside the game - something most “elite” gamers cannot claim. Our ranks include, an Olympic swimmer, Military Officers, Head Chiefs and, Top Business executives to name afew (really). Members of the Knights do not need to put others down or make an exclusive club to feel good about our selves. If you feel that you were not hugged enough as a child and need to beg for attention please look else where for a guild. If you want a place to have fun with like minded people the invitation to join KC is always open.

Q: If I join can I be an officer?
A: Officers are promoted from within the guild not from outside of it. This is to ensure that before someone has access to a guild essential system that they not only understand how to preform the duties of an officer but also fit in and have a good time in KC. After joining KC, if you find that you are meeting people you like to game with and would still like to donate additional time to the guild you can then offer your services as a guild officer.

Q: Was KC really founded in 1999?
A: Yes. {KC)_gHo$t and {KC)Kitty decided to start KC on day in March (March 22nd 1999) between speech and gym class during their freshman year of high school. Many clans claim to be “old school” - KC can back it up with 11+ years of archives which can be publicly reviewed at - http://archives.knightsofchaos.org

Q: Why is there an age requirement to join KC?

A: KC has an age requirement (14) for multiple reasons. Our primary reason for this age requirement is that most people below this age do not posses the maturity level needed to interact in a social environment. We believe that these skills are learned in high school ergo an age of 14 is required to join.
Secondly - In order to comply with COPPA regulations all members must be over the age of 13 - so our age requirement of 14 fits the bill.
